RE:START boosting attractiveness in mid-sized cities
Funded by URBACT, RE:START is a 30-month Transfer Network on boosting the attractiveness of mid-sized cities, for which we have been appointed lead expert. The Net will capitalize the brilliant experience of Idanha-a-Nova [Portugal] reverting depopulation by creating new pathways for growth, using innovative place branding as a main driver. Along with Idanha, the transfer cities are Jonadi [Italy], Loutraki [Greece], Marina Alta functional area [Spain], Nyborg [Denmark] and Khotyn [Ukraine]. The project will gather a number of current policy concepts such as talent attraction, rural innovation and the «right to stay».
RE:START es una URBACT Transfer Network sobre atractividad territorial en ciudades medias, donde ejercemos el rol de lead expert. Capitaliza la brillante experiencia de Idanha-a-Nova [Portugal] que ha logrado revertir un proceso de pérdida de población creando nuevas oportunidades de crecimiento, a través de una estrategia innovadora de place branding que ha aportado cohesión y direccionamiento. Junto a Idanha, las ciudades de transferencia son Jonadi [Italia], Loutraki [Grecia], Mancomunidad de Marina Alta [España], Nyborg [Dinamarca] y Khotyn [Ucrania]. El proyecto reunirá una serie de policy concepts de gran actualidad, como atracción de talento, innovación rural y “the right to stay”.
