Localising the SDGs in the rural context
Methodological support and facilitation to the EU-funded Interreg project C2 Agenda 2030 Local, aimed at localising the SDGs in small rural municipalities through capacity building and collaboration. Three main activity packages are developed by the project: initial assessment and subsequent local action plans in each of the 76 municipalities involved; cross-border communities of practice with a focus on transformative projects; and shared learning itinerary. Along with the University of Vigo, project partners are the provincial councils [diputaciones] of Pontevedra, Cáceres and Huelva, in Spain, and the Intermunicipal Communities [CIM] of Alto Minho, Beira Baixa and Baixo Alentejo, in Portugal.
