Sierra de Cádiz functional area
The Urban Agenda of the Sierra de Cádiz functional area seeks to strengthen sustainable development in an area with 19 municipalities and 115,000 inhabitants, aligning its own priorities with the objectives set at the Spanish Urban Agenda, throughout a dedicated action plan. Working with functional urban areas entails selecting projects and initiatives that are meaningful beyond the municipal borders. Those that can contribute most to cohesion and internal articulation of the area, also reinforcing the governance mechanisms at that scale. This Urban Agenda has been promoted by the Association of Municipalities of the Sierra de Cádiz.
La Agenda Urbana del área funcional Sierra de Cádiz persigue afianzar las estrategias de desarrollo sostenible en un ámbito integrado por 19 municipios y una población de 115.000 habitantes, alineando sus propias prioridades con los objetivos marcados desde la Agenda Urbana Española, definiendo para ello un plan de acción. Trabajar con áreas urbanas funcionales supone seleccionar proyectos de relevancia supramunicipal. Aquellos que contribuyen a mejorar la cohesión y la articulación interna del ámbito, reforzando también los mecanismos de gobernanza a dicha escala. Esta iniciativa de Agenda Urbana ha sido impulsada por la Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Sierra de Cádiz.
